My mobile recharge for India failed even though I entered the correct number and amount. What should I do?

Updated yesterday

In India, most SIM cards require a base plan to be active before you can add talk time, data, or other services. A base plan is the primary plan that keeps your number active—it includes basic validity, network access, and sometimes limited talk time or data allowance.

If your base plan has expired or isn’t activated, your recharge will fail.

Please check:

  1. Open your Indian carrier’s app (like Jio, Airtel, or Vi).

  2. Confirm that your base plan or active pack is valid.

  3. If it has expired, recharge your base plan first, then try again.

Note:

Your recharge will only go through if your carrier account has an active base plan.
