What do I need to pay my SSS (Contribution) bill — and how do I find it?

Updated yesterday

You’ll need 3 things:

a. Your SSS Number (10 digits)

This is your personal ID with the Social Security System.

Where to find it:

  • On your SSS ID or UMID card (front side)

  • In old SSS emails, payslips, or remittance receipts

  • Ask a trusted person in the Philippines to visit an SSS office for you
(They’ll need a Letter of Authorization from you and a copy of your valid ID)

  • Or email [email protected] with:

    • Full name

    • Date of birth

    • Mother’s maiden name

    • Your address

    • A clear photo of your valid ID

b. The Amount You Want to Pay

Most OFWs pay between ₱1,040 and ₱2,600 per month.

How to find your amount:

If you have an SSS online account, log in and generate your PRN — it will show your monthly contribution amount.

Examples:

  • If paying for one month:
    Enter that month’s amount only (e.g., ₱2,200)

  • If paying for two months (e.g. June to July):
Enter the total amount for both months (e.g., ₱4,400)

c. The Payment Period (From – To)

Use this format: MMYYYY

Examples:

  • If paying for June 2025 only:

    • From: 062025

    • To: 062025

  • If paying for June to July 2025:

  • From: 062025
    To: 072025
