What should I do if my SSS payment shows an error?

Updated over a month ago

If you get an error like “Invalid Consumer ID” or "Incorrect Operator Type", it usually means that one or more of your payment details is incorrect. Please check the following carefully:

Details to double-check

  • Your SSS Number

  • Contribution Amount

  • From Date (MMYYYY)

  • To Date (MMYYYY)

Most common mistakes

  • Wrong amount: The minimum contribution changes depending on your salary. Most OFWs pay between ₱1,040 and ₱2,600 per month.

    • You can confirm at your nearest SSS office, Philippine Embassy, or POLO.

    • Or check the official SSS Contribution Table under Publications > Contribution Table.

    • If you have an SSS online account, log in and generate your PRN, which will show the correct monthly contribution amount.

  • Incorrect date format: Make sure you enter dates in MMYYYY format (e.g., June 2025 → 062025).

  • Mismatched number of months: The amount must match the number of months you’re paying for.

Examples

  • For 1 month (June 2025)

    • From: 062025

    • To: 062025

    • Amount: ₱2,200

  • For 2 months (June–July 2025)

    • From: 062025

    • To: 072025

    • Amount: ₱4,400
