Creating an account with Beacon is easy and straightforward. We understand that simplicity and efficiency are important, so we’ve streamlined the process into five simple steps, taking less than 15 minutes:
Download the App: Get the My Beacon app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Verify Your Email: Fill in your email and you will receive a verification code in your email inbox. Type in the code in the app to sign up for the app.
Open the Account: You can open the account by navigating to the "Beacon Money" icon. Then click "Get Started" on the next screen.
Fill out a Questionnaire: You need to answer a few questions about your residency, citizenship, employment status, and tax status.
Verify Your Phone Number: You will be prompted to verify your phone number by receiving a verification code sent as a text message to your phone.
Take Photos of Your Identification Documents: You will need to provide documents for Proof of Address, Identity Verification, Canadian Visa Status (only for customers that aren't Canadian citizens or PR holders), and SIN or local Tax ID. Take a Selfie: Capture a selfie to complete your profile.
