What information does RBI need in order to process an international remittance?

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) requires the following information every time someone wants to transfer funds internationally:

  • The appropriate funds in your bank account

  • Your PAN number

  • Your Aadhar number

  • Your student admission letter

  • Your student passport

  • Your student visa

  • Your education loan sanction letter (if applicable)

  • The Beneficiary name, address, bank name, account number, branch name, bank address and Swift code.
