How do I request an e-transfer from my bank to add money to my account?

You can request an e-transfer by following these steps:

  • Go to Beacon MoneyAdd MoneyTransfer from a Canadian Bank.

  • Enter the amount you want to transfer from your other bank to your Beacon Money Account (minimum amount is $10).

  • Tap Confirm, then select your financial institution.

  • If you don’t see the logo, use the search bar to find your bank.

  • You’ll be directed to your bank’s app.

  • Follow the prompts in your bank app to approve the money request.

  • Once approved, the money will be transferred to your Beacon Money Account.


To cancel a transfer:

If the transfer is still in progress, you can cancel it:

  • Go to Beacon MoneyActivity → tap the transfer to check its status.

  • If the request is still valid (within 24 hours), tap Cancel.

  • If you don’t complete the transfer within 24 hours, it will be automatically canceled.

  • If the transfer has already been completed, it can no longer be canceled.
