What happens to my account if I move to a different country?

If you move outside Canada, your Beacon Money account will generally remain active for up to 6 months, even if there is no activity during that time.

However, please note:

  • Accounts may be reviewed based on inactivity, regulatory requirements, or changes in residency status.

  • Continued access may depend on compliance rules and the country you move to.

  • Certain features may be restricted depending on your location.

If your account remains inactive beyond the 6-month period, it may be subject to limitation, temporary suspension, or closure in accordance with applicable regulations.


What We Recommend Before Moving

To avoid disruption, we suggest:

  • Ensuring your contact information is up to date

  • Withdrawing or transferring any remaining balance if needed

  • Informing us if your residency status changes

  • Reviewing any pending transactions before departure
