You can send money to anyone in Canada using Interac e-Transfer directly from the Beacon app.
Follow these steps:
Open the Beacon app
Tap Send Money from the home screen
OR
Go to Beacon Money → Send Money
Enter the amount you want to send
Enter the recipient’s email address
Tap Add a New Contact to save the recipient
Review the details and confirm the transfer
What Happens Next
If the recipient has Autodeposit enabled, the money will be deposited automatically into their account.
If the recipient does not have Autodeposit enabled, they will receive an email notification to accept the transfer.
In this case, you will need to share the security question and answer with the recipient so they can complete the transaction.
Important Tips
Make sure the recipient’s email address is entered correctly before sending the transfer.
Once the transfer is sent and accepted, it cannot be reversed.
