You can send money to almost anyone with a valid UPI ID. Just make sure to select the appropriate purpose for the transfer (e.g., family support, education, etc.). Some transfers may be prohibited under legal regulations or by partner banks (for example, if the recipient’s bank or NPCI has placed restrictions on the account) - in such case, the transfers will be rejected.
Before you send the money, we’ll display the full name linked to the UPI ID so you can confirm it belongs to the correct person. If you accidentally send money to the wrong person, you can contact our support team to try initiating a dispute. However, please note that UPI transactions are typically irreversible and will only be reversed at the recipient’s bank’s discretion.
